Meteorologists warn of icy conditions, heavy snow in mountain regions

Meteorologists have issued a warning regarding icy conditions and heavy snow in the mountain regions in the coming 24 hours. The warning concerns the Krkonoše Mountains and the Jeseníky Mountains in particular where black ice may occur on roads and bridges and snow drifts could leave smaller roads impassable. Drivers heading for the mountain regions have been warned about the possibility of long delays due to a heightened number of accidents. During similar conditions last week, two highways were closed by accidents for several hours resulting in hour-long queues.
