Jágr sets record as oldest scorer in extraliga history

Jaromír Jágr has made his mark in Czech ice hockey history by becoming the oldest player to score in the Extraliga at 52 years, nine months, and 23 days. The Kladno Knights owner opened the scoring in Mladá Boleslav in the 3rd minute with a power-play goal, marking his second goal of the season.

Jágr, the NHL’s second most productive player of all time, is playing his 14th game of the season after returning from a health-related absence since mid-October.

Mladá Boleslav is aiming to snap a four-game losing streak and secure just their second win in the last 14 games. Regardless of today’s result, Kladno remains at the bottom of the league standings as the regular season reaches its midpoint.
