Pastrňák ties Jágr's record for scoring in 16 consecutive games for his 800th NHL point

David Pastrňák

Forward David Pastrňák scored the only goal for the Bruins in Boston's 1:2 loss to the New York Islanders, his 16th consecutive game in the NHL. He tied the Czech record set by Jaromir Jágr and Robert Lang. It was also his 800th point in the competition.

The 28-year-old Pastrňák, who has collected 14 goals and 17 assists during the point streak, scored after a pass from Pavel Zacha in the 51st minute to cut the lead to 1:2. The Bruins did not add another goal and lost for the fifth consecutive game.

Before Pastrňák, only Jágr (2000/2001) and Lang (2003/2004) had scored in 16 consecutive games. The most recent American to achieve this feat in Boston was Phil Kessel, back in 2008.

Tomáš Hertl also recorded a goal and an assist to help Vegas secure a 7-5 victory over Chicago. But the standout player of the game was his teammate Ivan Barbashev, who tallied two goals and two assists. Petr Mrazek started in goal for the Blackhawks but was pulled after allowing five goals in the first period.

In Utah, with goalie Karel Vejmelka in net, the team outshot Minnesota 6-1. Meanwhile, Lukáš Dostál was in goal for Anaheim during their comeback win over Vancouver, from 0:2 to 5:2.
