Markéta Davidová triumphs in Kontiolahti biathlon sprint

Markéta Davidová claimed victory in the biathlon sprint at the World Cup in Kontiolahti, Finland, on Saturday. The 27-year-old delivered flawless shooting, finishing 8.8 seconds ahead of Sweden's Elvira Öberg. Finland's Suvi Minkkinen finished in the third place.

Davidová celebrated her fourth career World Cup win and her eleventh podium finish. This is her first victory since November 2021 in Östersund and her first medal since December 2022, when she placed third in Hochfilzen.
