Špindlerův Mlýn opens ski season, expects up to 3,000 skiers

The ski season officially began this Saturday at Špindlerův Mlýn, the country’s largest ski center in the Krkonoš Mountains, with the resort expecting between 2,000 and 3,000 skiers today. Thanks to recent snowfall, four lifts are now in operation, and 15 kilometers of slopes are open for skiing.

Several ski centers around the country have already opened since last weekend, although cross-country ski trails remain closed due to insufficient snow.
