Inhabitants in flood-hit areas receive CZK 168 million in aid from People in Need NGO

Non-profit People in Need organization has provided over CZK 168 million in financial aid to 3,365 households affected by September floods, mainly in Jesenicko and Krnov regions. Additional material and food assistance worth CZK 16 million has been delivered. The organization plans to remain active in the region until mid-2025, focusing on the most impacted families. Over 60 homes are slated for demolition, while many residents face unsafe living conditions due to mold and structural damage. Donations to the SOS Floods fund totaled CZK 484 million, supporting urgent repairs and prevention programs.
