Czechia braces for a week of rain, snow, and icy conditions

Meteorologists are forecasting frequent rain and snow showers in the first week of December, with freezing temperatures at night likely to cause frost, ice, and black ice. Daily high temperatures are expected to average around 3°C, with a temporary warm-up to as much as 10°C in some areas on Saturday, according to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ).  On Monday, increasing cloud cover is expected, with occasional rain or freezing drizzle in the western half of the country by evening. Tuesday will bring overcast skies and intermittent rain, possibly freezing in parts of Moravia and northeastern Bohemia, creating hazardous icy conditions. Snow showers are expected in higher elevations, and similar weather is predicted for midweek, with mixed precipitation in lower areas by Friday.
