Draft regulation would increase teachers' salaries by 7% from January

Teachers' salary scales should be increased by 7% from January, according to a draft regulation published by the government on its website. For other public-sector and state employees, basic earnings should increase by 1,400 crowns, as agreed with trade unionists at the beginning of October.

The Ministry of Labour stated in the documents that the additional money is intended to reduce the impact of inflation, to improve the economic status of employees in the public sector, and to strengthen the competitiveness of public administration on the labour market.
