Dozens take part in polar bear plunge in Vltava

Around three hundred cold water enthusiasts of all ages have taken part in the traditional winter swim in the Vltava River in Prague's district of Braník.

Over 300 swimmers from Czechia and abroad took plunge in the icy river on Saturday as part of the annual Branické ledy competition, which is now in its 21st year. The oldest participant was Andrej Dzuba from Prostějov, who is 82.

The participants could choose between four tracks measuring 250, 500, 750 and 1000 meters, and one 100-metre long fitness track.
