Middle Neolithic burial places uncovered in South Moravia
Archaeologists have discovered skeletons believed to be about 7,000 years old in Ostrožská Lhota near Uherské Hradiště in South Moravia. The human remains were discovered by builders laying utility lines. They reported the find to a regional museum, which carried out research at the site in July and August.
The archaeologists said that they had uncovered exceptionally well-preserved burial places of people from the Middle Neolithic period. They also found a number of shards of decorated ceramic vessels and a small ceramic arm, most likely from a figurine of religious significance.
