Peroutka journalism prize goes to Dorazín, Svobodová

The 2022 Ferdinand Peroutka Prize, one of the top awards in Czech journalism, has gone to Martin Dorazín of Czech Radio and Ivana Svobodová of the weekly Respekt. Both reporters are highly respected and have received acclaim for their coverage of the war on Ukraine.

Mr. Dorazín has been with Czech Radio for most of the last three decades and is a veteran foreign correspondent.

Ms. Svobodová started out with Mladá fronta Dnes before moving to the weekly Týden and in 2010 joining Respekt, where she covers politics and does long-form reporting.

The prize is awarded by the Ferdinand Peroutka Society, headed by the granddaughter of one of the most famous 20th century Czech journalists.
