Kunsthalle project wins national architecture prize

The main prize in Czechia’s Architects’ Grand Prix for 2022 has gone to the Kunsthalle project in Prague. The conversion of a one-time electricity transformer station into an arts venue was designed by Jan Schindler, Ludvík Seko and Zuzana Drahotová of the studio Schindler Seko Architekti. The prize was handed out a ceremony at the city’s Trade Fair Palace on Monday evening.

A lifetime achievement award was presented to Václav Aulický, architect of buildings such as Prague’s Zizkov TV Tower and the now demolished Transgas.
