Prague Castle opens Deer Moat for extended weekend

Prague Castle has opened the entire Deer Moat (Jelení příkop) to the public for the duration of the extended weekend in connection with the celebrations of Czechoslovak Independence Day on October 28th. The natural ravine located below the castle has been undergoing reconstruction and should be permanently accessible to the public in the spring. The Presidential Office also announced on its website this week that it was negotiating with the police to ease security checks to some parts of the castle as of April 2023. Prague Castle administration also announced that seniors over 70 will be able to visit all the castle premises which are open to the public for free until the end of the year.
