Office of candidate for minister raided by police in Brno

Police raided the Brno town hall and the town hall in the city district of Černovice on Tuesday. The Czech News Agency reported that they were focused on the housing department and office of Petr Hladík, who is a deputy mayor as well as in line to become minister of the environment.

A representative of the Supreme State Prosecutor’s office in Olomouc said 10 arrests had been made.

The police are investigating links with a Brno company, the privatisation of city housing and subsidy fraud.
