Slight week-on-week increase in Covid cases recorded in Czechia

Some 1,927 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in Czechia on Wednesday. It is 69 more than on the same day last week and the fourth day in a row that cases have risen.

By contrast, the number of people hospitalised with Covid continues to drop. On Wednesday, there were 744 Covid patients in Czech hospitals, which was around 160 fewer than in the previous week.

The current seven-day incidence rate is 102 cases per 100,000. The highest number of infected is in the Hradec Králové region, where it stands at 117.
