EU Ministers for Research and Innovation due to meet in Prague
European Ministers for Research and Innovation are due to arrive in Prague on Thursday for an informal meeting within the Czech EU Presidency. The even will be launched with a dinner at the Lobkowicz Palace at Prague Castle.
The meeting will focus on cooperation in research funding from national and EU funds as well as on the situation of scientists from Ukraine. It will be chaired by Education Minister Vladimír Balaš and will be attended, among others, by EU Research Commissioner Marija Gabrielová and ministers from associated countries such as Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.
Strengthening cooperation in research funding is one of the priorities of the Czech EU Presidency. A so-called Prague Declaration on cooperation in research funding should be established under the country’s leadership.
