Police propose filing charges against 21 persons in game-rigging scandal
Police have proposed filing charges against 21 people and one legal entity for corruption and large scale game-rigging in the second and third divisions of Czech football, Jaroslav Ibehej, spokesman for the National Centre against Organised Crime told journalists on Thursday. One of the main suspects in the case is Roman Berbr, former vice-president of the Czech Football Association, who could face up to 12 years in prison. The 21 suspects are suspected of giving and taking bribes, embezzlement or participating in an organised criminal group.
