Former football boss Berbr remanded in custody as police confiscate millions of crowns in cash
Police have confiscated several million crowns in cash belonging to the former vice-president of the Czech Football Association, Roman Berbr, who is accused of game-rigging, Czech Television reported on Thursday. They also found that Berbr controls a corporation in the Seychelles, with a capital of 100,000 US dollars through which he can do business in the Czech Republic. On the grounds of these revelations the court ruled that he be remanded in custody.
Roman Berbr and 18 others face charges of corruption and large-scale game-rigging in the second and third divisions.
