Hungarian President on state visit to Prague
Hungarian President Katalin Novák, who is currently on a state visit to the Czech Republic, met with Czech President Miloš Zeman at Prague Castle on Tuesday morning. The two heads of state discussed cooperation within the Visegrad Four, which President Zeman said should not be weakened.
Societal questions were also discussed, with the Czech president saying that he would veto a law allowing same sex marriage. An amendment that would allow gay marriage has been proposed by individual MPs from five parties represented in the Chamber of Deputies.
President Novák is set to meet with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala on Wednesday.
