Block on Czech disinformation sites to be lifted Wednesday
The organisation that administers the Czech internet will on Wednesday cease to block eight websites that spread disinformation. CZ.NIC made the sites’ domains inaccessible on February 25, just after Russia launched its war on Ukraine, following consultation with the state authorities. The eight were accused of relativizing, justifying or approving of Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine.
A representative of CZ.NIC said the websites no longer posed a threat, in part due to the fall in their visitor numbers.
