Czech domain operator blocks eight websites spreading disinformation and Kremlin propaganda

The Czech Internet Association CZ.NIC, which operates the domain with the national suffix .cz, has blocked eight websites which have been spreading disinformation and fake news about the Russian invasion of Ukraine in the Czech Republic. The move was made on the recommendation of the Czech government and the country’s intelligence services. There has been an upsurge in the amount of fake news and pro-Russian propaganda in the Czech digital space since the start of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
