Two new significant days added to Czechia’s calendar
Two new dates will be added to the Czech Republic’s list of official “significant days”. President Miloš Zeman on Thursday signed the amendment to the law on public holidays proclaiming 27 May, the day of the assassination of the Nazi governor of Bohemia and Moravia, Reinhard Heydrich, Day of National Resistance.
June 25, the anniversary of the signing of the protocol on the withdrawal of Soviet troops from the territory of the former Czechoslovakia in 1991, is to be marked as Day of Departure of the Occupying Forces.
