Zeman’s office chief personally ordered shredding of sought documents

President Zeman’s head of office, Vratislav Mynář, personally ordered the extraordinary shredding of documents at Prague Castle in November last year, the news site iRozhlas.cz reported on Monday. The information stems from an audit of the Office of the President’s handling of sensitive information carried out by the National Security Authority.

The Office of the President shredded a classified intelligence document relating to a Russian operation on Czech territory in 2013 that left two dead, iRozhlas.cz said.

The police were seeking this report to see whether it bore the DNA or finger prints of unauthorised persons. Mr. Mynář himself does not have security clearance.
