Ministry completes investigation of Zeman’s office following shredding of classified report

The Ministry of the Interior has completed an examination of the Office of the President over its handling of documents and files, a spokesperson for the former said on Monday. The National Security Office also conducted an audit of how President Miloš Zeman’s officials adhere to regulations surrounding the protection of classified information.

The lower house’s Security Committee recommended the checks after reports that the Office of the President had shredded a classified report on a Russian operation in the Czech Republic that left two dead.
