V4 leaders and UK agree on maintaining joint approach to Russian aggression

The prime ministers of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary met with their British counterpart Boris Johnson in London on Tuesday. Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced after the meeting that all parties agreed to maintain a common approach to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, as well as agreeing to lower their countries’ energy dependence on Russia.

Mr Fiala went on to say that Russia’s military aggression is impacting the Central European community. The Czech and British leaders also agreed on strengthening cooperation in the area of cybersecurity.

The Czech prime minister is set to lay a wreath at a memorial to the Battle of Britain, in which many Czechoslovak pilots took part, later today. Further talks with Boris Johnson are also on the agenda.
