Nineteen Covid patients from Brno hospitals being transported to Prague

Nineteen Covid-19 patients from the Moravian capital of Brno are being transported to Prague hospitals on Thursday. Most hospitals in the South Moravian region have reached their capacity limit in providing intensive care, following an upsurge in new cases. They are currently treating around 900 patients, more than any other region in the Czech Republic.

In related news, Prague’s Bulovka and Motol hospitals have been forced to halt elective surgeries due to the worsening epidemiological situation. The restrictions don’t apply to acute and life-threatening conditions.
