Prague Zoo to receive pair of pangolins from Taipei in March
Prague Zoo is to receive a pair of critically-endangered pangolins from the Taipei Zoo as part of an animal exchange memorandum between the two cities, which signed a sister-city agreement last year.
According to Prague mayor Zdeněk Hřib, the animals will be transported from Taiwan in March next year. The zoo will become one of a few in the world and just the second in Europe to exhibit pangolins, which are believed to be the most trafficked mammal in the world. The pangolins from Taipei will become part of the Indonesian Jungle exhibit.
