Prague Zoo enters 91st season
Thousands of people came out on Saturday for the official start of Prague Zoo's 91st season. Among other things, visitors will have a chance to see a pair of pangolins from the Taipei Zoo, which are set to arrive within just a few weeks’ time. The critically endangered animals will become part of the Indonesian Jungle exhibit.
Later this year, the zoo is also set to open a new gorilla pavilion and it is also preparing to build a new pavilion for polar bears. Saturday’s opening ceremony was attended by the zoo’s director Miroslav Bobek, Prague Mayor Zdeněk Hřib and his deputy Petr Hlubuček.
