Covid 19: reproduction number continues to increase
Some 314 new cases of Covid 19 were registered in the Czech Republic on Sunday, which is 65 more than on the same day a week ago, according to data released by the Health Ministry. The reproduction number – the average number of people infected by one person with the virus – has been increasing since the end of September and currently stands at 1.36.
The average seven-day incidence rate has grown to 41 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants. On Sunday, there were 217 people hospitalised with Covid, 32 of them in serious condition.
