Covid: Sunday sees lowest increase in cases in five weeks
On Sunday, laboratories in the Czech Republic registered 7,193 new cases of Covid-19, 20 percent fewer than on the same day a week ago and the lowest daily incerase in the past five weeks. Some 1,816 people were re-infected with the virus.
The seven-day incidence number has dropped below 1,500 for the first time in three weeks, suggest the Ministry of Health data. It currently stands at 1,488 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
To the contrary, the number of hospitalised patients continues to increase. On Sunday, there were 3,417 people hospitalised with Covid, with 239 of them in serious condition.
