Accommodation prices in the regions soaring

The price of hotel accommodation in Prague continues to fall due to the lack of foreign tourists, while hotels in the regions, especially in the most sought-after tourist locations, have been steadily upping their prices, the ctk news agency reported.

With the majority of Czechs holidaying at home, the cost of accommodation in popular tourist locations is often higher than in the period before the pandemic. While last summer visitors to the regions could rent a room for two for four nights for an average of 7,499 crowns, this year they are paying 9,443 crowns for the same accommodation, the ctk says.

The highest accommodation prices are in South Moravia, where the cost of a week’s holiday now equals the price of all-inclusive seaside holiday abroad.
