KVIFF ticket sales brisk ahead of festival’s opening on Friday

Ticket sales for the 55th edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) have begun. Despite the strict measures in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the initial interest is nearly as high as in previous years, KVIFF production manager Petr Lintimer said, noting that eight additional box offices were added to so that large queues do not form.

KVIFF officially start on Friday afternoon with a screening of director David Ondříček’s biopic about legendary runner Emil Zátopek. The festival’s best-known guests include Michael Caine, Johnny Depp and Ethan Hawke.
