Monday Covid cases up one-quarter on same day week

Some 210 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the Czech Republic on Monday, which was around one-quarter more than the same day last week.

At present 59 people are in hospital with the coronavirus, 15 of them in a critical condition.

The reproduction number has risen slightly, from 1.03 to 1.05. It has been above 1.0 – which indicates the epidemic is on the rise – for 10 straight days.
