Kristiina Mäki sets new Czech record in women’s 1,500 metres

Kristiina Mäki, a Czech athlete of Finnish origin, has advanced to the finals of the women’s 1,500 metres run at the Tokyo Olympics, scheduled to take place on Friday. The 29-year-old runner, who gave birth to her first child in January, set a new Czech record with a time of 4:01.23. The previous record of 4:13.69 was set by Ivana Walterová in 1986.
