Spain tightens restrictions for travellers from Czech Republic

Spain has placed the majority of Czech regions on its list of high risk states for the spread of new mutations of the coronavirus. From Monday, people traveling to Spain will need to produce a PCR or antigen test that is not older than 48 hours, or a certificate of full vaccination against Covid-19. South Moravia has been exempted from the new requirements for the time being.

Covid-19 numbers have been rising particularly in Prague and Central Bohemia, mainly among young people who have not been vaccinated. The reproduction number has now jumped to 1.3, and is at its highest since the beginning of this year.
