Prague museum gets WWII Hawker Hurricane plane

The Museum of Aviation at the Točná airfield near Prague has acquired a Hawker Hurricane Mk IV plane used by Britain’s RAF during World War II, Czech Television reported. Czech pilots were among those who flew the aircraft.

The Hawker Hurricane that arrived at Točná on Monday evening is a renovated model from the turn of 1943. It is in the colours of the Mk II plane flown by the great Czech fighter pilot Karel Kuttelwascher.
