Chief hygienist: State should cover two free coronavirus tests a month for citizens
Chief Hygienist Pavla Svrčinová proposed on Czech Television that, during the summer period, the state should make two coronavirus tests free for citizens to use every month. These would be either antigen or PCR tests.
Currently, insurance companies cover one antigen test every three days. However, Ms Svrčinová said on Czech Television that the frequency of free tests available will go down, ideally in favor of two antigen or PCR tests a month.
The price of PCR tests should also fall down to around CZK 640 a month, according to Health Minister Petr Arenberger. Currently, the price of a PCR test lies at around CZK 1,500.
