Prague not to hold World Hockey Championship screenings

Prague City Hall has announced it will not organize mass watching of the World Hockey Championship on large television screens due to anti-coronavirus measures. The championship starts on May 21 in Riga, Latvia. Last year, the games were not held.

The Czech government has rubberstamped a further easing of Covid measures allowing cultural events of up to 1,000 people to be held outdoors as of May 24. Some private venues, such as the Riegrovy sady beer garden, have said they plan limited World Hockey Championship screenings.
