Further easing of Covid measures due on May 17

A further easing of Covid measures is planned for May 17, Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlíček said following Monday’s government session. Restaurant gardens will be able to reopen under strict hygiene conditions.

Tables will have to be 1.5 metres apart with a maximum four people at one table and guests will be asked to produce certificates of vaccination, negative Covid tests or proof of post-Covid immunity. As of May 17 outdoor cultural events will be allowed with up to 700 people. Hospitals should also start allowing visitors.

Hotels should be able to reopen after May 24, and indoor events of up to 500 people will also be allowed as of that date.
