Up to 50,000 volunteers took part in Czech spring-cleaning campaign

An estimated 40,000 to 50,000 people took part in the spring-cleaning campaign “Ukliďme Česko” (Let’s clean up Czechia) this weekend. Due to anti-coronavirus measures, volunteers collected rubbish alone or in small groups.

Altogether, Individuals and families cleared over a thousand sites nationwide, said Radek Janoušek, a co-organizer of the campaign together with the Czech Nature Conservation Association.
