Cabinet: Coronavirus measures will not be relaxed before Easter

The government-imposed measures against the spread of coronavirus will not be relaxed before Easter, Health Minister Jan Blatný said at a press briefing following Monday’s cabinet meeting.

Minister Blatný said the closure of shops would remain in place, as would the ban on non-essential travel between districts.

The government on Monday agreed to broaden the regulation on compulsory testing in firms with over 50 employees to smaller companies with 10 to 49 employees.

The latter will be expected to conclude the first round of tests by March 26. This should concern around 650,000 employees.

The cabinet postponed until Thursday a decision on whether the mandatory testing of employees should take place twice a week.
