Week-on-week Covid tally decline, reproduction number down

Some 15,196 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, according to Ministry of Health data. This represents a fall of around 1,600 on the same day last week. Lower week-on-week daily tallies have now been seen every day since Sunday.

The reproduction number has also declined slightly and now stands at 0.95.

There are 8,618 people in Czech hospitals with the coronavirus, 1,853 of them in a critical condition.

On Tuesday 34,973 people were vaccinated against Covid.
