Six injured in Ostrava apartment building fire caused by explosion

Six people were injured in an explosion on Wednesday morning followed by a fire in a five-storey residential building in the Hrabůvka district of Ostrava. A severely burned 37-year-old man was admitted to hospital in critical condition.

Firefighters evacuated some 40 people from the building, which has several wings. Most people were able to return to their apartments within hours. The cause of the explosion has yet to be determined.
