South Moravian Crisis Staff asks regional governor to request new state of emergency
The South Moravian Crisis Staff has recommended regional governor Jan Grolich ask the Government to declare another state of emergency due to the coronavirus crisis, at a Saturday evening meeting with other governors.
According to Grolich, declaring a “state of danger” at the regional level in lieu of extending the state of emergency beyond February 14 will not resolve the situation. That legislation relates to natural disasters such as fires and floods, not pandemics, he noted.
