Czech archaeologist Evžen Neustupný dies at 87

The internationally recognized Czech archaeologist Evžen Neustupný has died at the age of 87. Neustupný was born in Prague in 1933. He studied prehistory and Egyptology at Charles University in Prague and received his Ph.D. in prehistoric archaeology in 1957. He worked at the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, specializing in archaeological theory and method, and the prehistory of Central Europe ranging from the Neolithic to the Medieval periods.
