Small decline in new Covid-19 cases again seen
Some 6,542 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the Czech Republic on Sunday. This represents a fall of around 760 from the previous Sunday and continues a small decline in new cases seen over recent days. There are now 180,797 active cases in the country.
Since the pandemic began almost 350,000 people have tested positive for the coronavirus, with nearly 80 percent of those cases coming in October.
According to the latest figures, 7,370 people are hospitalised with Covid-19, with 1,156 in a serious condition.
The number of deaths has climbed to 3,429. Some 111 deaths occurred on Sunday, though that figure may be revised upward.
