Hygiene officials have announced new measures aimed at curbing the increasing spread of Covid-19. Starting next Monday, people in Prague and Central Bohemian region will be required to wear a face mask at outdoor events with more than 100 people, health authorities announced on Friday.
The measure will apply to open-air markets and festivals as well as sporting and cultural events. Exceptions will be in place for children under the age of two, actors, musicians and athletes in training.
A ban on visits to hospitals and social facilities, with the exception of underage and terminally ill patients, will come into effect in Prague at 6 p.m. on Friday.
