Annual run raises funds for group recording survivors’ testimonies

An annual fund-raising event entitled Run for Paměť národa (Memory of Nation) took place at a number of locations in the Czech Republic, including Prague’s Hvězda (Star) Game Reserve, on Saturday. The money generated goes towards Paměť národa’s endeavours in recording interviews with eye-witnesses to major events in the Czech Republic’s modern history.

The project’s subjects have frequently included war veterans, victims of the Nazis and political prisoners from the country’s Communist era.
