Health Minister tests negative for coronavirus, but will quarantine for 10 days

Health Minister Adam Vojtěch has tested negative for COVID-19, but will quarantine himself for 10 days, according to a statement posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday evening. Mr Vojtěch took the test, because he had previously met the country’s chief hygienist, Jarmila Rážová, who recently tested positive.

Other Health Ministry employees who came into contact with Mrs Rážová for longer than 15 minutes will be tested on Thursday, according to the ministry’s spokeswoman Gabriela Štěpanyová. Mr Vojtěch has stated that the functioning of the ministry has not been affected.
