Slovenia puts Czech Republic back on medium-risk countries list

Slovenia has put the Czech Republic back on the list of medium-risk destinations for travel, effective as of Thursday midnight, the Czech Foreign Ministry said. Upon entering the country, Czechs will be required to go into a 14-day quarantine.

Those who booked their accommodation by August 6 do not have to go into quarantine if they present a negative Covid-19 test. Czechs are allowed to pass through Slovenia provided that it takes less than 12 hours.

The number of newly registered Covid-19 cases in the Czech Republic has remained above 200 over the past week, with 215 fresh cases registered on Thursday. The total number of current cases stands at 5,030.
